# Kasa

> Kasa is a simple, private money tracker that runs in the browser (installable on phone and desktop). People use it to log spending and income, plan recurring monthly bills, follow loan payoff, and see their net worth across accounts, currencies, bitcoin and gold. It never asks for a bank login. ## What Kasa does

- Monthly dashboard: main balance, spent and earned for the month, what is still to pay, spending per month (click a bar to open that month) and spending by category (click to filter).
- Transfers are not spending: moving money into savings, investments or a loan is recorded as a transfer, so monthly spending is not inflated.
- Loans: a debt can have a monthly payment plan. Each payment counts as spending in its category and lowers what is owed. Shows progress, a payoff chart (history and projection) and the last payment date.
- Recurring transactions: schedules (rent, salary, subscriptions) post themselves on their day each month and can end after a given month.
- Currencies: accounts in CZK, EUR, USD, GBP, TRY, bitcoin (BTC) and gold (grams). Totals are shown in a main currency the person chooses, using rates updated a few times a day (ECB via Frankfurter; CoinGecko for BTC and gold). Paying abroad: enter "50 €" and the day's rate is filled in.
- Assets and net worth: savings, investments, property and debts; debts count negative. Setting an account's real value on a day makes balances count from there, so old or missing history can't make today's number wrong.
- Bank statement import: CSV exports from banks; Kasa guesses columns and categories and remembers choices.
- Split transactions into items (e.g. one supermarket receipt into groceries and household).
- Year view, getting-started checklist, six languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Turkish, Russian.

## Privacy

- No bank connection; no ads; no analytics or tracking cookies.
- Each person's data is separate and visible only to them.
- Passwords are stored as salted PBKDF2-SHA256 hashes; repeated wrong passwords lock the account for 15 minutes.
- Runs on Cloudflare Workers with a Cloudflare D1 database.

Request an invite at https://kasafinance.online/#request. Invited people receive a single-use code by email and create an account at https://app.kasafinance.online with email and password, choosing a main currency and language.

## Who it is for

People who want a calm overview of their own money without linking bank accounts: tracking everyday spending, paying off a mortgage or car loan, holding money in more than one currency, or keeping savings in bitcoin or gold alongside cash.
