A Spendee alternative that keeps it simple
Kasa is a free money tracker that began as a replacement for Spendee. It keeps quick entry, categories and a clear monthly view, and adds what its maker was missing: loan payment plans, net worth across 31 currencies, bitcoin and gold, and transfers that never count as spending. It never asks for a bank login.

What will feel familiar
An account for each pot of money, categories with icons, a month-by-month overview with spending per category, and transactions that repeat every month. Adding a coffee takes a few seconds on your phone.
What Kasa adds
- Transfers aren’t spending. Moving money into savings, investments or a loan is a transfer, so the month you put money aside doesn’t look like the month you overspent.
- Loans with a payment plan. Each monthly payment counts as spending in its category and lowers what you owe. See what’s paid and left, every payment made and planned, and the date of the last one. How loans work.
- Net worth. Cash, savings, investments, property, bitcoin and gold, minus debts, as one number in your main currency. More on net worth.
- Balances that can’t drift. Set an account’s real value on a day and balances count from there.
- Still to pay. Bills planned for this month show until you mark them paid, and the main balance shows what’s left after them.
- Card bills, item by item. Import your card statement (CSV) into the bill to see every purchase in its own category. How it works.
Moving over
You don’t need your old history for Kasa’s numbers to be right. Create your accounts, set each one’s real balance today, add your monthly bills and salary as schedules, and you’re done. From then on, balances count from the values you set.
Kasa can’t import a full transaction history from Spendee or other apps yet. If that matters to you, write to contact@kasafinance.online.
What Kasa doesn’t do
- No bank sync. You add entries yourself, and monthly ones post themselves.
- No shared wallets: each person’s data is private to them.
- No per-category budget limits yet.
- No app-store app. Kasa is a web app you add to your home screen.
Questions
Is Kasa free?
Yes. Kasa is free, with no ads and no paid plan. Donations help pay for running it.
Can I import my Spendee history?
Not yet. Kasa doesn’t need it for correct balances: set each account’s real value today and Kasa counts from there.
Does Kasa connect to my bank?
No. Kasa never asks for your bank login. You add entries yourself, recurring ones post themselves each month, and you can import a card statement into a bill to split it into purchases.
